About The BISTRO Italia – Italian Restaurant Poulton

After the take over of Liberty’s by the park in August of 1994 Pasquale transformed the run down establishment and turned it in to Papas.

Over the last 17 year’s it has seen 3 refurbishments. The Old Liberty’s was an American dinner and had no future as an eating establishment in the Fylde. It was transformed into a traditional Italian Restaurant, then in 1998 underwent a facelift. The old cluttered Italian restaurant look went and in came an elegant new look with Italian minimalist at its best. Not at all Spartan. bright, cheerful, lots of blue and yellow, a splash of sunshine against the traditional grey skies of the English summertime outside.

Papas set a landmark as modern Italian food. Papas was here to stay. Further to that it went on  to its last refurbishment of a more calmer and more elegant look with chocolate and cream colours and with that came the name change to Bistro Italia .
